We have a separate page of links to other SCD clubs in our area.  These are mostly located to the south and west of London.

In addition, you can find some links to other useful and interesting web-sites on other pages but here we gather together some that we particularly like, together with a brief description of what they contain.

The London branch of the RSCDS - contains information about the dances, classes and information provided by the very active London Branch
The Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society - Headquarters!
The Grand Chain - this is a large site - probably the biggest site in the world devoted to SCDs - with many useful links and information about SCDs and other related forms of dancing
The Celtic Circle provides information about SCD groups in continental Europe.
Find out about James Smith's brilliant SCD animations which are available on a CD showing graphically how to dance more than 250 different dances
The Strathspey Server provides a lot of information about SCDs
A description of Keith Napier's Index of SCDs and how to obtain it.
Dance data - a database of information about SCDs (the types of dance, who wrote them, what formations they contain, suitable music, etc).  There are more than 10,000 dances listed!
Charles Upton's invaluable Minicribs provide a database of "cribs" (instructions) for around 2000 dances which can be downloaded and used to form cribsheets for your dance programmes
Performing SCDs is not without risk!  If you are suffering from pains in the legs or feet, you might want to look at the helpful articles on dance injuries written by Craig Cousins
The unique thing about Edge Reels in Gloucestershire is the amusing series of SCD cartoons which can be ordered from them.
